Dog gives birth to 17 Puppies!

Miranda Pellecchia thought her dog was done giving birth. Then another puppy showed up. And then another. And then — because apparently everyone missed the memo — another.
Pellecchia said she was left stunned after her Irish setter gave birth to 17 puppies, an unusually large litter that came after the dog mated with a miniature black poodle. The result: what she says is Britain’s largest-ever litter of Irish doodles.
The labor lasted 13 hours, Pellecchia said.
“Just when we thought it was all over, out would pop another one,” she said. Pellecchia added that the veterinarian told her they had never heard of a litter that big.
The puppies will be sold to families for about $1,700 each, Pellecchia said.
