Denver’s first 90 degree day coming potentially a month earlier than normal

Just a week after a Cinco De Mayo snowstorm hit Denver, we are now looking at the potential for Denver’s first 90 degree day, almost a month earlier than normal.

9News meteorologist Chris Bianchi says the average first 90 degree day in Denver is not until the 2nd week of June with the current forecast showing Denver hitting 89 degrees on Wednesday May 13th nearing the current record of 90 degrees for that day.

While it would definitely be hotter than normal, it’s still a bit off of Denver’s hottest May day ever which was on May 26, 1942 when the temperature hit a high of 95 degrees.
