Colorado’s mega rattlesnake den back on livestream

Apr 21, 2026, 10:10 AM | Updated: Jun 5, 2026, 11:52 am

OK, this is equal parts fascinating and a little creepy.

Did you know there’s a mega den of rattlesnakes in Colorado? And somehow, even wilder, you can watch them on a livestream.

It’s called Project RattleCam, and it gives us a look at these reptiles in their natural habitat without human interference. The project is a collaboration between California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Central Coast Snake Services and Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The live stream first launched in 2024, which means this is our second year getting an up-close look at the snakes. And with warmer temperatures settling into Colorado, you’ll start to see more and more rattlesnakes showing up on camera.

I’m not going to lie, I’m fascinated from a safe distance.

If you’re curious, love wildlife or just want to see something totally different today, this is definitely worth checking out.

Watch the livestream here.
