Cleaning Your House As Bad As Smoking

A study by Norway’s University of Bergen reveals that cleaning your house can be as bad as smoking. Researchers found that women, who regularly used cleaning sprays for 20 years or more had the same lung function as women, who had been smoking 20 cigarettes a day over the same period. Cleaning supplies increase the risk of asthma by 43%
Professor Oistein Svanes is quoted in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine as saying; “In the long run, cleaning chemicals very likely cause rather substantial damage to your lungs. When you think of inhaling small particles from cleaning agents that are meant for cleaning the floor and not your lungs, maybe it is not so surprising after all.”
