Big hair, big hearts: Colorado will celebrate Dolly Parton September 25 through 27

Colorado is celebrating Dolly Parton September 25–27, with communities across the state joining Imagination Library of Colorado for a weekend of Dolly-inspired fun. Depending on where you go, you’ll find story times, live music, fundraisers, specialty mocktails and coffee drinks, kids’ activities, and Dolly look-alike contests. 

Here in Denver, Governors Park is hosting a free, family-friendly celebration on Friday, September 25, from 3–7 p.m.  Bring your best friend, bring the kids, or bring that sparkly outfit you keep saying you’ll find a reason to wear. There’ll be live music, story times, kids’ activities, food trucks, and a Dolly look-alike contest. I’m just saying…you still have time to work on the hair. 

It’s all about celebrating Dolly and her legacy while supporting Imagination Library of Colorado and a brighter future for Colorado’s children. That’s a pretty sweet reason to get together.
