Apple’s new iPhone colors have leaked — as shards of broken glass

Consumer tech leaks have reached a different level — the colors for this year’s new iPhone XR models have leaked thanks to some shards of colored glass.

According to The Verge, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg tweeted a photo of four pieces of colored glass — white, gold, purple and green — indicating the new iPhone XRs will feature a more pastel-inspired color lineup.

Gurman also tweeted case moldings for the next flagship iPhone, which features the triple camera setup.

The Verge also speculates that a Product Red edition of the phone will be produced, and says the new iPhones will likely be announced in September.

These glass leaks also follow Google’s Pixel 3a line, which was accidentally put on display at a Best Buy days before they were announced.
