Amazon Launches AI Shopping Assistant ‘Rufus’

Move over, Alexa – Amazon’s latest AI assistant is named Rufus.

‘Rufus’ is an ai-powered shopping assistant that can help customers find “the best products to meet their needs”, the company says.

Users can chat with the AI assistant on the app itself, and Rufus will start working instantly. Rufus has been trained on the product catalog, customer reviews, community Q&As, and related information from around the web.

It searches Amazon’s product catalog, customer reviews, and information ‘from across the web’ to make recommendations.

Rufus is in beta right now, but users can give him a try with the mobile Amazon Shopping app.
