Holiday shopping season is coming in hot, and Amazon is getting ready for the rush.
The company says it plans to hire more than 300,000 seasonal, part-time and full-time workers across the U.S., including about 6,500 people in Colorado. The jobs are part of Amazon’s holiday operations push, which makes sense when you remember just how many toys, beauty products, electronics and last-minute “oops, I forgot a gift” items show up on doorsteps this time of year.
New positions will be posted weekly from October through December at amazon.com/localjobs, where applicants can also sign up for job alerts. Amazon says full-time employees start at a minimum of $20 an hour companywide, while seasonal employees earn an average of $20 an hour. Seasonal workers may also have the chance to move into full-time roles after the holidays.
And starting Jan. 1, 2027, seasonal employees who work at least 30 hours a week will have access to healthcare coverage on their first day.
If you’re job hunting, this is one to keep on your list, as new roles are added through December!
