Grab your coat, your Christmas spirit and maybe your stretchy pants.
The Denver Christkindlmarket is returning to Auraria Campus this holiday season, bringing back the cozy wooden huts, festive lights, German treats, warm drinks and all the merry little things that make this one of Denver’s favorite holiday stops!
The 26th annual market opens Friday, Nov. 20, on the east side of the Tivoli Quad. It will be free and open daily from 1 to 9 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 23. The market is staying at Auraria Campus because of ongoing construction at Civic Center Park. Bonus: The 110-foot Mile High Tree will be there too, so go ahead and call it a full holiday outing.
Colorado Springs is getting in on the fun, too. The second annual Colorado Springs Christkindlmarket returns to Bancroft Park in Old Colorado City with more vendors, a bigger layout, food, drinks and entertainment. The Colorado Springs market will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 4-6, Dec. 9-13 and Dec. 16-23.
Basically, if you needed an excuse to sip something warm and wander through a little Christmas village, here it is. Get details here!
