Apple TV+ Is Raising Its Prices and Your Streaming Budget Is Not Okay
Just when you thought you had your subscription situation under control — Apple TV+ is coming for your wallet.
Starting soon, the monthly plan jumps to $14.99 and the annual plan hits $119.99. Existing subscribers got a whole one month’s notice.
And if you’re on the Apple One bundle — the one that bundles Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade and more — that’s going up $2 a month to $21.95.
Which doesn’t sound like much until you remember you’re also paying for Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and three other things your kids signed you up for without asking.
To be fair, Apple TV+ has been quietly putting out some genuinely great content, and they just snagged U.S. rights to Formula 1 racing, so sports fans are at least getting something for the extra cash.
But here’s the thing — every streaming service has raised prices this year. Peacock, ESPN, Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube Premium… all of them. Every single one.
At this point, we’ve basically just reinvented cable. Expensive, confusing cable. 📺
Maybe it’s time to dust off that library card, Denver. Just saying.
