Well, There Goes Our Summer: Beach Boys Cancel Colorado State Fair Show

Pack up the sunscreen and put away your “Kokomo” playlist, Denver — The Beach Boys won’t be making it to Pueblo this year.
The Colorado State Fair announced the band’s Thursday, Sept. 3 concert has been officially canceled. The reason? The guys need a little R&R before hitting the road again.
“The Beach Boys will be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September,” the fair said in a statement.
Look, we get it. We all need a nap sometimes. Even rock legends.
The fair has not yet announced a replacement act for the Sept. 3 slot, so stay tuned for updates on who might be stepping in to fill those very large, very retro shoes.
