Bass Pro Shops Is Finally Coming to Loveland

Jul 14, 2026, 8:20 AM

Northern Colorado, your patience is about to pay off. After years of construction, anticipation and probably more than a few “when is it opening?!” Google searches, Bass Pro Shops is officially celebrating the grand opening of its sixth Colorado location in Loveland with an Evening for Conservation open to the public on Wednesday, July 22.

Yeah, we said sixth. Northern Colorado has been waiting long enough.

Where Is It and What’s Inside?

The 130,000-square-foot retail destination is located at 5945 Bass Pro Drive, just off I-25 and East Crossroads Boulevard, ready to serve outdoorsmen and women from across Northern Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Conveniently, the store sits in the “Brands at the Ranch” mixed-use development, near the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Blue Arena.

And before you even ask — yes, there’s an aquarium. Guests of all ages are invited to be among the first to experience the store’s stunning 12,000-gallon aquarium and 3,000-gallon trout stream. Featuring a mill water feature and hand-painted mural inspired by Colorado’s iconic Crystal Mill, the aquarium will be home to more than 100 fish including bass, crappie, sunfish, walleye and carp. So even if fishing isn’t your thing, you can still stare at fish like you know what you’re looking at.

The store also features a full lineup of industry-leading boat brands, including TRACKER, SUN TRACKER, RANGER, NITRO, REGENCY and TAHOE — sold factory direct at money-saving prices with award-winning service and factory-backed warranties. An on-site POWER PROS service center will offer world-class service for boats, motors and ATVs/UTVs.

Evening for Conservation: More Than Just a Ribbon Cutting

The grand opening night’s “Evening for Conservation” is a tradition started by Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris that unites sportsmen and women to support local conservation organizations. In other words, shopping with a purpose — which is honestly the best kind of shopping.

The special event will begin with live entertainment at 5 p.m., followed by the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and store opening. Specifically, entertainment and festivities will kick off with a live performance from singer-songwriter Celeste Kellogg at 5 p.m., the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m., followed by the store opening.

Oh, and 15% of sales on most items during the Evening for Conservation will be donated to local conservation organizations. So go ahead and justify that gear purchase — it’s for a good cause.

The Lineup of Special Guests Is No Joke

This isn’t your average grand opening with a guy in a costume handing out balloons (though, spoiler alert, there IS a guy in a costume). The Outdoor and Conservation Company has invited the greater Loveland community to a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and weekend-long celebration highlighted by fishing and hunting celebrity appearances, leaders in conservation, family activities, giveaways, food samples and more.

The evening’s all-star lineup includes:

  • Roland Martin — Nine-time Bassmaster Angler of the Year and Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Inductee
  • Jimmy Houston — Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Inductee
  • Edwin Evers — 2016 Bassmaster Classic Champion
  • Jim and Eva Shockey — Father-daughter outdoor personalities and best-selling authors
  • Nate Zelinsky — Colorado outdoors expert specializing in fly fishing, ice fishing, conventional tackle and big-game hunting, with more than 26 years of professional experience across the Front Range
  • Kevin VanDam — 7-time Bassmaster Angler of the Year, 4-time Bassmaster Classic champion and 29 Tour-level wins

Additional special guests will include live fly-casting demonstrations and lessons from members of the USA Fly Fishing Team, plus appearances by the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and Miles the Mascot. See? Told you there’d be a guy in a costume — just a very beloved one.

Following the Grand Opening ceremony, these special guests will be available for meet and greets and autographs until 8 p.m.

Grand Opening Weekend Deals — Don’t Sleep On These

The party doesn’t stop at just one night. The Evening for Conservation and Grand Opening Weekend include deals, exclusive events and exciting attractions for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s CLUB Members receive 10% off almost everything in-store July 22–26, 2026. Customers will also enjoy exclusive giveaways and deals throughout the weekend, and daily door prizes will be given to the first 200 families through the door on Thursday, July 23 through Saturday, July 25. Set your alarm. Seriously.

Store Hours

The retail store officially opens following the ceremony on Wednesday, July 22. Starting Thursday, July 23, regular business hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Want to Work There? They’re Still Hiring.

Bass Pro Shops has been hiring 180 full-time and part-time workers for the new store. “Friendly individuals who want to share their passion for the outdoors are strongly encouraged to apply in advance by visiting basspro.com/careers and selecting the Loveland location,” the company said. Not a bad gig if you already spend half your paycheck there anyway.

Employee benefits include merchandise discounts up to 50% off, competitive wages, holiday and vacation pay, as well as health, dental and life insurance programs for eligible team members. Basically, they want people who love the outdoors — and they’re willing to make it worth your while.

As Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris put it, “This new store will make it easier for the people and families who love to hunt the mountains and high plains of the West and fish its rich streams to spend time together in the great outdoors.”

Northern Colorado, it’s finally your turn.
