Taylor Swift’s Friendship Bracelets Blast Off: From Eras Tour to Artemis II

Apr 8, 2026, 9:41 AM

Okay, let’s be real—Taylor Swift’s cultural takeover was bound to hit escape velocity eventually. In a plot twist that’s equal parts adorable and astronomically cool, those colorful friendship bracelets from her Eras Tour have officially made it to space. Yeah, you read that right: Swiftie swag is orbiting Earth, courtesy of NASA’s Artemis II crew.

It all started with astronaut Christina Koch, a self-proclaimed Swiftie who’s gearing up for the Artemis II mission (that’s the one circling the moon in 2025, folks). During Swift’s record-breaking tour, fans traded handmade bracelets inspired by her lyrics and album eras. Koch, apparently not one to miss out on the fun, snagged a few and decided they’d make the ultimate zero-gravity accessory. Fast-forward to a recent NASA event, and boom—those bracelets are now part of the Artemis II payload, symbolizing friendship, exploration, and probably a killer playlist for the cosmos.

But NASA didn’t stop at just packing the bling. In a move that’s hilariously on-brand for the space agency trying to stay hip, they updated their Instagram bio to “Enchanted to meet you.” If that sounds familiar, it’s a cheeky nod to Swift’s song “Enchanted” from her “Speak Now” album. Subtle? Not really. Effective? Absolutely—it’s got fans and space nerds alike buzzing about the ultimate crossover episode.

Look, in a world where pop culture and science collide, this is the wholesome content we didn’t know we needed. Who knows? Maybe the next moon landing will feature a friendship bracelet exchange with aliens. Stay tuned, Swifties—and aspiring astronauts.
