Dive into dinner: Casa Bonita to launch general reservations this summer as new film about the journey debuts.

A brand new movie will focus on Casa Bonita.

At the Tribeca Film Festival, a documentary called “¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!” will premiere, giving viewers an exclusive look into the revival of the iconic restaurant. The film will showcase the journey of Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of “South Park,” as they embark on the adventure of reopening Casa Bonita.

From their childhood memories of visiting the Pink Palace in Lakewood, to its recent limited reopening, this documentary promises to be an exciting and nostalgic experience It’s been a year since the opening yet those hoping to dine there can still only get a reservation by being invited to do so via an email lottery — but that’s poised to change soon.

In an interview with The Denver Post, Stone and Parker said they hope to open reservations to the general public by late summer. Read the interview with the Denver Post here.
