Not sure this will happen, but it would be cool if it did. AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys is campaigning to have a “90s Pop Super Bowl Halftime Show” next season.
If it happened, it would feature Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Britney Spears and 98 Degrees. He claims it would be a nostalgic, feel-good performance.
“We’re biased because we really think that our era of music, coming from the late ’90s, early 2000s, is probably some of the most nostalgic for people and makes people feel good. We’re part of a club of all those artists that you’d have to bring them back.’’ Although this would be fun, Jay-Z, who is in charge of the halftime shows, is eyeing artists that would make more of an impact and is attempting to stay away from “safe” choices.
If this did happen, what would be an artist from that era you would add to the lineup?
