I mean there are some good takeaways but I can’t believe how far we have slipped down! #GallupPoll #KOSI1011 #Happy #USA
Gallup has just released the results of its annual study on how happy people are with their lives around the world. Finland came in first out of 143 countries. Which is not shocking since this is the 7th year in a row. The shocking thing was that the US is now out of the top 20! We are 23rd? WAIT WHAT?
- Finland
- Denmark
- Iceland
- Sweden
- Israel
- the Netherlands
- Norway
- Luxemburg
- Switzerland
- New Zealand
Then 23rd … USA
What gives? Well it is very generational. The happiness level is a lot higher among older folks in America. Among people under 30, the U.S. sank to #62, while for those 60 and older, it’s #10 in happiness level. SO I guess we should be more like the Boomers and appreciate the small things?
Again #23 out of 143 isn’t the worst but we can do so much better!! Time to be happy!!
P.S. Who wants to take a trip to the Nordic countries with me?
