Not only is it going to be 100+ degrees this weekend and a huge no thank you on being outside doing yardwork but I read this and now I am seriously creeped out mowing the lawn!
Plants Scream When Cut: The Daily Express says Tel Aviv University researchers have found that plants emit sounds similar to bubble wrap popping when cut or dehydrated. Despite being inaudible to humans, the screams can be detected with special equipment. The study shows that stressed plants emit 30 to 50 sounds per hour, with cactus, wheat, and grape plants also making noise.
So if you need an excuse not to do the yardwork. You are welcome my friend! #Silenceoftheweeds
