As the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments against Congress’ TikTok ban, the research tells us that nearly 64% of pre-teens have at least one social media account, flouting minimum age requirements and raising concerns about online safety and mental health impacts.

The future of TikTok in the United States is uncertain as the Supreme Court considers a potential ban scheduled for January 19, 2025.
Users are advised to save their content before the app could vanish from app stores, with options to download videos individually or use third-party tools like Repurpose.io and myfaveTT for bulk downloads.

If the law is enacted, new users in the U.S. won’t be able to download the app, and existing users may see the app become obsolete over time. We will still have the app but for who knows how long.
However, users could potentially bypass the ban using virtual private networks (VPNs). Alternatives like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels are available for users seeking a replacement for TikTok.

We will wait and see what happens in 5 days.
