South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have sunk A LOT of money into Denver’s Casa Bonita!
In fact, in a recent article they are quoted as saying they actually have put 40 Million dollars into the cult favorite. The pair said that investors told them to give up after they sunk 20 Million into the franchise, but they didn’t give up.
Some crazy renovation facts:
- It took 27 tries to match the pink color of Casa Bonita
- Metal detectors have been put at the employee and guest entrances
- Casa Bonita’s reopened restaurant’s menu was created by James Beard award-winning Executive Chef Dana Rodriguez
- Casa Bonita will use police officers to manage traffic- there aren’t enough parking spaces available for all guests
