Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs honored with special flight numbers by United Airlines.

In addition to flying the Chiefs to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, United Airlines added six direct flights between Kansas City and Las Vegas for fans.

They are considered special direct flights, celebrating the temporary route by having each flight with special numbers celebrating the team’s most popular players and one very special fan.

• UA 1587 – Named after Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Jersey Numbers
• UA 1989 – Named after Taylor Swift’s breakout album that defined her transition to pop music
• UA 2287 – Named after Taylor Swift’s hit song and Travis Kelce’s jersey number to celebrate the Chiefs’ power couple

This year, United is flying its largest special schedule for the Big Game in their history, adding 40+ flights system-wide and flying larger aircraft, which can get 14,000 more fans across the country to Vegas for the big game.

Although don’t peg United as rooting for the Chiefs to win as they are the not only flying the Chiefs but are also the airline transporting the San Francisco 49ers to Las Vegas for the game.

We may have a soft spot for the 49ers with the Shanahan, Lynch and McCaffrey connection to Denver.
