Sportswomen of Colorado celebrates 50 years of championing female athletes

Sportswomen of Colorado was the first in the country to honor the achievements of female athletes on a statewide level. This award is given to women who have demonstrated exceptional success like swimmer Amy Van Dyken and skier Mikaela Shifrin. However the Sportswomen of Colorado’s list of winners includes women of all ages and levels of athletic success and their stories. This all started in 1974 and continues today. You can find this list of outstanding female athletes and their stories in the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
