Travelers at New York’s LaGuardia Aiport had their morning interrupted by a surprise guest – a raccoon.
The “trash panda” fell through a ceiling tile at a Spirit Airlines gate and was dangling from a cable before dropping to the ground and running off.
It ran loose for about five minutes while passengers screamed, ran and filmed it.
Alarms began to sound and at the TSA security checkpoint, a man unsuccessfully tried to trap the raccoon in a garbage can.
After a few hours, crews were able to catch it and release it outside.
Spirit Airlines says it has contacted a “professional wildlife control company” to make sure no other raccoons are patrolling the airport.
