A leaking fire hydrant in Brooklyn has created a home for about 30 Goldfish after someone keeps dumping the fish in the water.
It is being called the, “Bed-Stuy Goldfish Pond.” This sidewalk puddle or little pond has become an attraction in the neighborhood, with dozens of people stopping by to look and area children feeding the fish.
People say that it is relaxing to have the pond and the fish.
Supporters want the puddle made permanent and have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help fund it.
The city sees it differently though. They came out and shut the water off. The water started to slowly get lower and the fish were in peril. The city had to come back out and turn on the leak to save the Goldfish.
The city is hoping that every kid in the neighborhood will take a fish. The GoFundMe is to relocate the fish somewhere within the community before winter.
