FULL STORY: Should you be allowed to use sick days to care for a sick PET? New York City might make it a thing.
A new amendment would allow anyone to use sick days to take care of their pet. Right now, you can only use them if you, or someone in your family, is sick. The basic argument is pets ARE family.
If you’ve got a cool boss, they might already allow it. But this would be written into the city’s bylaws, so companies would HAVE to say it’s okay.
It was just proposed this week, so it’s not happening tomorrow. But do you think it’s a good idea?
