Prepare yourself for the upcoming below zero temps!

Make sure you are prepared for the below zero temps coming this weekend! When temps get super low, frostbite and hypothermia are big concerns. In fact, frostbite can develop in as little as 5 minutes!
Some tips to brave the cold include dressing in layers, staying hydrated, limiting time outdoors, covering exposed skin with a hat and gloves, and checking on pipes by leaving faucets dripping slightly to prevent freezing.
Also, protect your pets!!! Do not leave them outside in dangerously low temps. Bring them inside! If you can, invest in a warm sweater or coat and some nice booties to protect their paws. Be sure to give them extra food and water (and love) to help keep them warm!
If you have to head out, make sure your car has plenty of gas, all fluids topped off and make sure your tires are inflated and in good condition. And it’s always good to have supplies in the car like a snow shovel, ice scraper, sand or kitty litter, jumper cables, warm clothes/blanket, water and food.
Be prepared and stay warm and safe! These temps could be below zero for three days starting Friday over night!
