Original Poltergeist house listed for sale, first time in 45 years

“The swimming pool! The swimming pool!” “This house is clean.” ” Go into the light.”
Ah…most of us can quote lots of lines from the famous horror movie, “Poltergeist,” but now….for the first time in 45 years….the swimming pool and the house are for sale!
The home — which served as the central location in the scary movie — hasn’t been listed for sale in more than 45 years…but it is now looking for new owners. The house is located outside Los Angeles in Simi Valley, CA, and boasts a 16,000-square-foot lot. It also has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a large swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The asking price is $1.174 million.
Pictures of the house show that the owners haven’t really changed it much over the years from when it was in the movie. The kitchen looks the exact same. So much that you will want to slide your child across the floor in a football helmet.
The stair case is also the same…you can imagine watching the ghost lights come down the stairs. There is no long hallway but kids might be uneasy sleeping in the room with the “ghost portal” closet.
The only thing that looks updated is in fact the swimming pool. No dead bodies in it. Just clear water. The scary tree is also gone.
The sellers say that there are no ghosts in the famous house.
