Oprah Accused of Hiring Her Own Firefighters in Maui

I like Oprah and believe that she has done a lot of good for a lot of people.  So it’s tough when I read the drama surrounding Oprah Winfrey being accused of protecting her Hawaii estate from wildfires.

Social media users claim she hired private firefighters to protect her land from the flames.  Some TikTok videos claim that Winfrey hired a team before the fires hit and didn’t help displaced people.

Just to give a reference, Oprah has lived in Maui part-time for over 15 years. 

Then just last week, Oprah and Dwayne Johnson each put up $5 million to help Maui residents.  Good, right?

Do you have a problem with Oprah having the money to hire private firefighters?  Does one thing have anything to do with the other?
