Nederland ranch, known for producing Elton John album, hits the market for $48.5M

A ranch in Nederland that was responsible for the production of several famous albums, including Elton John’s album “Caribou”, is now for sale! The Caribou Ranch has live many lives.
Throughout the years, it was used as an Arabian horse breeding ranch to a mining base camp. Some of the buildings date back to the 1800s when the3 property was home to miners during the Pike’s Peak gold rush.
At one point, the ranch was one of the most coveted recording studios. According to the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, music producer, Jim Guercio, the manger of the band Chicago, invested in the ranch and turned a barn into a recording studio
In its heyday the ranch was one of the most in demand recording spots, producing more hits than Abbey Road Studios from 1974-1976. Elton John recorded his eighth album there named it “Caribou” after the studio
The studio helped produce many other famous albums like the mixing of U2’s live Red Rock performance.
