More snow expected Thursday night through Saturday

Where did all this snow come from? We were supposed to get 1-3 inches and we got closer to a foot with more on the way.
Denver meteorologists underestimated the first big snowfall of the season and everyone is getting covered in thick, white, heavy, and wet snow.
Schools have been closed and more will be closed on Friday.
We are currently in a lull between the snow storms.
Initial estimates on Tuesday were 1-3 inches in the metro area and a little more south of the city.
Yeah….the city was covered with the smallest totals starting at 4 inches.
Another round of snow is expected to dump on Denver Thursday night into Saturday with the heaviest chance for snow Friday night into Saturday.
Another 5-14 inches is expected with the second storm.
Was anyone else taken by surprise with this storm? If I would’ve known it was going to be a foot of snow I would have poop scooped and covered my patio furniture. First world problems.
