Legendary Tina Turner Passes Away at 83

Such sad news to hear today.  Legendary singer and icon, Tina Turner, has passed away at the age of 83.

Turner’s manager confirmed that Tina passed away after a long battle with an illness at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.  Turner had become a Swiss citizen a decade ago.

Turner was known for so many songs from the 60’s and 70’s when she performed with her then husband, Ike Turner.  The ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ singer was also known for the domestic abuse that she survived.

Tina Turner was an icon and one of a kind. I will always think of what she accomplished, as well as what she overcame in this world and her personal life.

You will be missed Tina Turner, but the mark you left on this world is enduring. Thank you.
