School for Douglas County starts next week and this is not good news.
The district has announced a rolling cancelation bus schedule.
What does a rolling cancelation bus schedule mean for families? According to a letter sent out last week, it means that buses will run their routes for four weeks, then take off one week with that schedule rotating throughout the year.
What it means to parents is that obviously for the week that buses don’t run in their area, they’ll have to figure out how to get their kids to school.
Douglas Country School District did say that for parents who bought an annual bus pass they will receive some type of refund to help with costs.
Is this a fair solution for parents and students?
