Denver, CO – At the time that this story is being published, 9News Chris Bianchi reported that the Denver metro area still has about 18 hours of snow falling to go. The 9 News website says, “snow will continue throughout Thursday and Colorado won’t see a break in the snowfall until the system starts to move southward early Friday morning.”

Currently Denver, the Palmer Divide and eastern parts of the mountains remain under a Winter Weather Watch until tomorrow morning.

How much snow can you expect? The Denver metro area will see anywhere from 10-20″ of snow.  The western suburbs could see up to 24″ of snow.

Along the Colorado Front Range foothills and into the mountains the snow totals jump. Those areas could see anywhere from 18-36″ of snow total.

There is also a chance that the winds could kick up to around 40mph as the second wave of the storm moves into the metro area.

Be safe!
