‘Hairspray’ performance tonight cancelled at DCPA

“Hairspray” performance canceled in Denver due to sprinkler system activation The Denver Center for the Performing Arts canceled the opening night performance of “Hairspray” Tuesday at the Buell Theatre.

DCPA said the sprinkler system above the Buell Theatre stage was activated accidentally.  As a result, tonight’s performance of ‘Hairspray’ is cancelled and ticketed patrons will hear from the box office with more information.

So far, only tonight’s performance has been affected and they are assessing the stage cleanup. “Hairspray” is schedule to play at the Buell through Sunday.
