Get set Denver. The first after 5 pm sunset of 2024 is coming up.

After the Winter Solstice, the Colorado is enjoying more and more sunlight every day until the Summer Solstice in June. Guess what? On Tuesday, Jan. 16, the sun will set at 5:00 p.m., marking the first time it’s happened since Nov. 4, 2023. For the next couple of months, Denver’s sunsets will continue to be at 5 p.m. until Friday, March 8. But hold on, because on Sunday, March 10, the clocks will change and the sunset will be at 7:02 p.m.
