Candy for breakfast was always a dream of mine as a kid! The Daily Express says eating licorice in the morning can help you lose weight!
Studies show that licorice reduces body fat by inhibiting certain enzymes.
Eating licorice root in the morning causes cortisol levels to decrease and promotes weight loss.
Licorice root also contains glycyrrhizin, a compound that has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
A third study found that people who took 900 mg of licorice flavonoid oil daily for 8 weeks experienced reductions in body fat, body weight, body mass index, and LDL cholesterol levels.
More studies are needed to say if licorice really helps reduce fat. Also noted that it can be harmful to have TOO much licorice.
Also it better be the red licorice because black licorice is disgusting! (I said what I said)
