Denver’s Union Station is about to get an $11M facelift…
Union Station, situated at 1701 Wynkoop St., is set to undergo a subtle $11 million renovation of its magnificent hall and various sections, which also includes its onsite establishment, The Crawford Hotel. This esteemed hotel pays homage to the renowned Denver developer and preservationist, Dana Crawford.
Union Station’s great hall and the upstairs bar Cooper Lounge will soon undergo a transformation with new furniture, lighting, and other updates. Additionally, the building offers 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Crawford Hotel is also undergoing a refresh in its 112 rooms. This includes new window treatments, furniture, wall coverings, and art. The hotel will also feature a new lobby and private elevator access to the various rooms. The remodel is being carried out by Denver-based firm DLR Group and Sage Studio, who are the designers for this project. Despite the renovation, both the building and hotel will remain open to the public. By this spring, some of the hotel rooms are expected to be available for bookings. Originally built in 1881, Union Station reopened to the public in 2014 after a $54 million renovation.
