Crocs banned in schools after injuries

Kids keep getting injured after tripping in their Crocs at school. This according to school officials that are banning Crocs in schools.

More and more grade schools have been banning slip-on Crocs shoes due to safety concerns.

The popular foam clogs, which usually come with stick-on “jibbitz”, are also a distraction, some teachers say. “No open-toe shoes, bedroom slippers, or shower shoes.

All shoes must have a strap or back at the heel…NO CROCS allowed,” reads the dress code policy for LaBelle Middle School in Florida.

The bans have sparked backlash on social media with young users pretending to dramatically fall while wearing Crocs. However, podiatrist Dr. Megan Leahy says the shoe does not provide arch support and can keep moisture on the skin.

“Those things combined—it doesn’t make it a really good, stable form of footwear for all-day use,” Dr. Leahy concludes.

I agree. My husband says he is so lazy when he wears his Crocs. I have a hard time walking in them too. Even in “sports mode.”
