CO Schools Districts Announce Closures Through End Year

The Autonomous region’s authorities agreed today to shut all schools and universities as part of the efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The number of people confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Spain has increased to at least 3,003, with the latest death toll reaching 87, according to the country’s Health Ministry. The Governor announced that schools are closed through April 30th, but did say school districts may opt to keep them closed through the end of the year.  Today, the following school districts announced plans to continue with remote learning (no in-school learning) through the end of the year:

Aurora
Cherry Creek
Clear Creek
Denver
Douglas County
Englewood
JeffCo
Littleton
Mapleton
Sheridan
Westminster

Fourteen area superintendents signed a letter that went out early this afternoon.
