Chocolate Lawsuit Possibly For You

ATLANTA, GA – JANUARY 24: Products are seen in a Godiva chocolate store on January 24, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. The luxury chocolatier said it will close all 128 of its brick-and-mortar stores in North America by the end of March as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company said it will keep open its stores in Europe, the Middle East and China. (Photo by Elijah Nouvelage/Getty Images)
Apparently good chocolate can’t just claim to come from anywhere.
A new lawsuit says that people, who purchased Godiva chocolates between 2015 and 2021, may be eligible to claim up to $15 without a proof of purchase.
The plaintiffs said Godiva’s labeling is misleading because Godiva chocolates are not made in Belgium like the company claims. Both sides agreed to a proposed settlement.
