According to a new poll of 2,000 adults, the average American spends two and a half hours a day “dreamscolling.”

Dream scrolling is when you  look at and dream about purchasing things that you can’t afford. You daydream about things that you would like to own, be or do one day.

71% say it’s time well spent, as the habit motivates them to manifest and reach financial goals. While others say that you are wasting 36 days a year day dreaming.

Four of every 10 Americans visualize what their retirement will look like such as age, location and monthly expenses.

Nearly seven in 10 see dream scrolling as an investment in themselves (69%) and an outlet for them to envision what they want out of life (67%).

65% of respondents hope that they’ll be able to buy everything on their list, but one in four say they don’t think they’ll ever be able to afford the majority of items.

Top economic factors that may be holding some Americans back include rising prices (54%), inability to save money (29%) and growing debt (21%).
