Autism Awareness Day – My Personal Connection

By Melissa Moore on April 2, 2020

Having a daughter on the autism spectrum- this day means a lot to me.  My little girl was diagnosed at the age of 3 1/2 after numerous doctors told us that nothing was wrong and we were imaging things.  We knew that something was off and today I am so grateful for the doctor that finally listened.  After many years working with speech, occupational and physical therapists my daughter is doing amazing.  In fact, most people don’t realize what she has battled through in her life.  She’s a happy, healthy and successful teenager.  There is always hope and always support.  Sending love to all of the autism community today and those of us who love them.  xoxo Melissa
