Americans will attend 3 holiday gatherings this year

According to a new survey, 36% of us want to go to a Holiday gathering, and 35% say it feels like they’ve been waiting a long time for the holidays.
On average, we will attend three gatherings this season.
Most respondents will be attending Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner (79% and 73%),
while only 17% expect to attend a Friendsgiving meal.
Holiday guests are looking to be mindful: 44% will attempt to limit food waste, and 47% plan to take only what they need.
“Holiday hosting can be so fulfilling but is also a ton of work,” Melissa Rakos of Chinet said. “Our goal is to help lessen that burden, helping people focus on spending quality time with guests.”
